The Bicycle Assessor is a an independent assessing company that has been providing expert witness services since 2015. Our very first instruction related to a bicycle and, since then, we have developed a real specialism in the area.
Our engineers have extensive experience in the legal and insurance claims industries and suitably qualified to act as expert witnesses, holding both automotive engineering and bicycle specific qualifications, and having produced over 1,000 CPR compliant expert reports on damaged bicycles for the purposes of court proceedings. Many bicycles are individual to their owners and are either a bespoke build or have been customised to some extent. We ensure we are fully up to date with the latest technology, material and components and our engineers have undertaken training relating to carbon and composite construction methods and repairs. When it comes to bicycles, we know our stuff – which is more than can be said for most assessing firms many of which lack the level of experience we do and shoehorn bicycle reports into templates obviously prepared for vehicles.
